Open House: The Fiona

Here’s the townhouse lot I built for Fiona.    If she wins the heir poll, anyone who doesn’t move to their own place, and the family ghosts, will move here with her.   TS4_x64 2016-01-09 18-41-04-09

It is designed for the Hare Square lot in Windenburg in the ultra-modern city neighborhood on the bay.   The lot faces the street that runs along the canal.

The lot is based on a picture of a modern townhouse squeezed between more traditional rowhouses in Sweden I found on the internet.

The lot features five residences, but the middle one is the most spacious, and is Fiona’s.  Doors in Sims 4 can be locked for individuals or groups, so lots like this work quite well for apartments.  If Fiona lives here alone, I may add a neighbor or two.  If a large part of the family moves with her, then I will likely just lock the other lots, or possibly let some of the older generation live in the other units.

You can see the side of Fiona’s townhouse between the two that are at each corner on this side by the park.

The back side of the lot overlooks the bay.  Fiona’s unit has a small courtyard (actually, pretty spacious for an urban area, but small compared to the Tesla’s current lot!)

I built the blue and brown unit on the left to blend with the ones in the background, that are across the canal.

I love the little alleyway between the brown french maison and the blue modern one.

If you continue this way down the street, you come to the cafe and the gym very soon, after the park.

The entry way into Fiona’s unit is recessed

This is the ground floor of Fiona’s unit.    I designed the first two floors for all the parties the family ends up throwing, with the kitchen, bar, dining, courtyard, and living area in one flowing space

I experimented with a riot of color; most of my homes have much more understated colors.

If Elise moves here, I will probably build a small greenhouse in that green space.

The second floor is the living area.

It has quite an impressive view for a city town home, but she is a trust fund girl.

The other units are completely bare-bones.  When they are complete, I’ll re-upload.

Yep, this is exactly the kind of place I pictured Fiona living in! I think you’ve used colour really well in this place, without making it seem overwhelming. Awesome job!

As soon as I saw all the bright colors, I thought that Fiona and maybe Yuki?! would really fit right in at this place. The bold colors, and the great neighborhood vibe, really fit what I picture for her. The kitchen is great, and I really enjoy the view from Fiona’s bedroom, and those curtains add a great dramatic flair.
